There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Gara: Page 1, lines 1 - 3 (title amendment): Delete all material and insert: "Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Alaska making a deposit to the budget reserve fund." Page 1, line 5, through page 2, line 18: Delete all material. Page 2, line 19: Delete "Sec. 3" Insert "Section 1" Renumber the following resolution sections accordingly. Page 2, lines 21 - 23: Delete all material and insert: "Section 30. Deposit to the Budget Reserve Fund. Before July 1, 2009, an amount shall be deposited to the budget reserve fund (art. IX, sec. 17) that is equal to $6,000,000,000 minus the amounts appropriated to the budget reserve fund (art. IX, sec. 17) during fiscal years 2008 and 2009." Page 2, line 24: Delete all material. Renumber the following resolution section accordingly. Page 2, line 25: Delete "amendments" Insert "amendment" 2008-03-17 House Journal Page 2312 Representative Gara moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Samuels objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" CSHJR 28(FIN) will advance to third reading on tomorrow's calendar.
